Andrew Santarossa, Winemaker

Andrew’s life-long passion for wine finally proved too strong when it lured him away from the mining industry and steered him on a course towards his ultimate goal of having his own vineyards and producing wine under his own label.

After completing winemaking studies at Charles Sturt University and gaining experience with vintages sourcing fruit from the various regions in Victoria as well as Western Australia and Oregon, Andrew has an excellent understanding and experience in cool climate winemaking.

Establishing Santarossa Vineyards with his family has been the realisation of a long held dream.  Adopting old world principles, Andrew then applies new world innovation to capture wine as the most honest, purest expression of the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the Yarra Valley.
